Itinerary

Day One:

Begin your day at Cylburn Arboretum, enjoy bird and wildlife watching. Take in luscious, manicured gardens with an exclusive view of a historic Victorian mansion.

Head south to Druid Hill Park, one of the country's largest urban parks, dating back to 1688; also home to a flower garden, a lake and the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore.

Enjoy local Chesapeake cuisine at Gertrude’s, located in the Baltimore Museum of Art ,offering free admission and the world’s largest collection of Matisse. Explore the museum’s sculpture garden featuring a 100-year survey of modern sculpture on nearly three landscaped acres.

Take a free walking tour of historic Mount Vernon. Go on a journey through Baltimore’s international trade, finance and railroad history.

Have a truly local dining experience at Woodberry Kitchen, featuring succulent farm-to-table cuisine made from the freshest and finest locally-grown organic ingredients.

Day Two:

Power up with a made-to-order omelet and a “hon bun,” cinnamon roll as big as your hand, at Café Hon.

Catch a Jones Falls Bike Tour, discover nearly 12 miles of historic trails dating back to the 1800s when the Jones Falls Valley was the center of Baltimore’s commerce and industry.

End the day in Federal Hill Park, a well-known lookout during the Civil War and the War of 1812. It lies on the south side of the city and features fantastic views of Baltimore’s picturesque Inner Harbor. Then grab dinner at an eclectic Federal Hill eatery on historic Charles Street.
